Welcome to CTeen Jr.!
Each week includes an engaging lesson and hands-on activity from the CTeen Jr. curriculum, along with time dedicated to JewQ, the international Torah competition. In addition to weekly meetups, we’ll have special events and outings throughout the year. A full calendar and more details will be shared soon.
CTeen Jr. is the place to be for middle schoolers—a space to build friendships, have fun, and connect to Judaism in a meaningful way. Through creative programming, holiday experiences, and interactive activities, Judaism comes alive for our pre-teens in a way they’ll truly enjoy.
What is JewQ?
JewQ is an international Torah championship that motivates students to grow in their Jewish knowledge in an exciting and engaging way.
Through a series of challenges and tests, participants learn about core Jewish topics including prayers, mitzvot, holidays, life cycle events, and key figures in Jewish history. The interactive JewQ game zone helps students review and prepare in a fun, user-friendly way.
Students who achieve a qualifying score advance to regional and international levels, with opportunities to earn prizes, participate in a grand Shabbaton, and even compete on a global stage.
But more than anything, JewQ gives children something lasting—a strong foundation in their Jewish identity, confidence in their knowledge, and pride in who they are.
Please note: CTeen Jr. runs on the same schedule as JEC and is open to boys and girls in grades 6–8.
First session begins Wednesday, September 2nd.
