This Rosh Hashanah Will Be Different.
Dear friends,
Over the last 10 months, I have heard from many people about the world they live in after October 7.
"I lost my best friend because of my pro-Israel views…”
"I never understood how easily blatant Jew-hatred could be kindled..."
"I feel powerless and helpless to do something..."
The strength of the Jewish people is in our unity. When the entire community is assembled, when we stand together, and when we pray together, we gather strength in each other.
And G-d will stand with us as well.
We invite you to participate in three very important ways.
#1 - RSVP. With G-d's help, we will welcome many people to our high Holiday programs and services. To accommodate everyone, we need your reservation. Please fill this form out as soon as you can.
#2 - Invite Others: Everyone knows someone who doesn't have a place to go. Invite them to experience the atmosphere and specialness of the High Holidays. We need each other in the room together!
#3-Share Your Personal Prayers: For the first time, we are collecting personal prayers to hold close on the bimah during the sounding of the Shofar.
Prayers for academic success, financial success, health, long life, and for loved ones will be printed and placed in a folder on the bimah. All individual prayers of our community will be in one space for one moment, praying for each other individually and collectively.
For your convenience, we have included a place right here to add your name and prayer.
Now, more than ever, Jews in our community seek connection and unity. Your participation and inclusion of your loved one's names on the bimah during the high moments of our communal prayers sends a powerful message of togetherness.
Please take a moment to fill out the RSVP form.
Thank you for being an integral part of our community. We look forward to celebrating the High Holidays with you!
